Year 11 Physics Tutoring in NSW & Online

Master the mathematical rigour and conceptual depth that separates Band 6 physicists from those who struggle

Year 11 Physics shocks students with its mathematical demands and abstract concepts. Those without strong foundations quickly fall behind, jeopardising engineering, medicine, and science aspirations. Our program bridges the gap between Year 10 science and genuine physics mastery. We develop the mathematical fluency, conceptual understanding, and problem-solving precision that transforms physics from your hardest subject into your strongest advantage.

Weekly Theory Lessons with Premium Booklets

Students receive expertly structured weekly lessons supported by comprehensive booklets. These materials are designed to help students become top performers by mastering core concepts step-by-step. We conduct regular assessments and provide live, interactive feedback to ensure every child progresses confidently.

Term-by-Term Outline

Kinematics (Oct–Dec)

    • In Term 1, students explore how and why objects move. By studying displacement, velocity, acceleration, and motion graphs, they lay the foundation for all future topics in mechanics.

      • Scalars and vectors: Understanding direction and magnitude

      • Equations of motion in 1D and 2D, including relative motion

      • Interpreting displacement–time and velocity–time graphs

      • Real-world motion analysis through investigations and simulations

      Outcome:
Students will develop a strong grasp of motion concepts and be able to solve a range of kinematic problems using mathematical and graphical methods.

Dynamics (Feb–Apr)

  • This term focuses on the forces behind motion. Students will apply Newton’s Laws to various systems, explore energy transformations, and analyse momentum in collisions.

    • Newton’s Laws: Applying F = ma, understanding net force

    • Work, energy, and power: Conservation laws and real-world examples

    • Momentum and impulse: Collisions and safety system applications

    • Practical problem-solving with force diagrams and energy transformations

    Outcome:
Students will be able to confidently apply dynamic principles to mechanical systems and explain real-world phenomena involving forces and motion.

Waves & Thermodynamics (Apr–Jun)

Students study how energy is transferred through waves and thermal systems, learning key properties and behaviours of sound, light, and heat.

  • Wave properties: Frequency, wavelength, amplitude, and wave speed

  • Sound waves and resonance in open and closed systems

  • Light and ray models: Reflection, refraction, and lens behaviour

  • Heat transfer: Conduction, convection, radiation, and thermal equilibrium

Outcome:
Students will develop foundational knowledge in wave physics and thermodynamics, supporting further studies in optics, acoustics, and energy systems.

Electricity & Magnetism (Jul–Sept)

In the final term, students study fundamental principles of electricity and magnetism that underpin both modern technology and deeper physics.

  • Electric fields and potential: Understanding charge interactions

  • Circuits and Ohm’s Law: Voltage, current, and resistance relationships

  • Magnetic fields and forces: Electromagnetism and real-world applications

  • Investigating DC circuits and applying knowledge to devices and systems

Outcome:
Students will gain a solid conceptual and practical understanding of electricity and magnetism, preparing them for Year 12 Physics and STEM-related fields.
