Who We Work With

AstraX Education carefully selects tutors because families trust us to support their children’s learning. We look for educators who combine strong subject knowledge with professionalism, reliability, clear communication and a genuine commitment to student progress.

Minimum Requirements:

We welcome applications from candidates who meet at least one of the following criteria:

Academic Achievement

ATAR of 90 or above; or
Band 6 in the subject they wish to tutor

Teaching or Tutoring Experience

At least one year of relevant teaching or tutoring experience; and
Evidence of positive student learning outcomes or progress

Essential Qualities:

We also look for tutors who are:

Clear and confident communicators with strong interpersonal skills
Reliable and organised, with the ability to maintain agreed lesson schedules
Comfortable teaching online in a quiet and professional environment
Respectful and adaptable to different student needs and learning styles
Student-focused, with an emphasis on understanding, confidence and consistent progress
Professional in communication with students, parents and the AstraX team
